    Here are some useful links:

  3. Send your teacher a message with a description of your work plan:

  4. Wait for confirmation that you can work on that school (if no other team has chosen it first).

  5. Prepare a presentation in .pdf format (you can edit it with PowerPoint or other software, but have ready a copy in .pdf format).

  6. Do not include text if possible, only key words, dates, or other important data, but not full sentences.

  7. Include a lot of graphic information: images, graphs, maps,...

  8. Divide the work among your team mates as you prefer. Each member of the team will present one of three parts.

Here are some ideas to help you (you may not need or be able to answer all these questions):

    1. Student 1 - Introduction and history

      • What is the school's name?

      • In which country is it?

      • When was it built?

      • Where is it located?

      • What is that country or town like?

      • How does the climate affect it?

      • How does the relief affect it?

      • Why was it built like that?

    2. Student 2 - Description

      • Why did you choose it?

      • Why is it special?

      • What are the students like?

      • What are the teachers like?

      • How does it work?

      • Is there a lot of homework?

      • What advantages does it have?

      • What are the disadvantages?

    3. Student 3 - Personal opinion

      • Would you like to study there? Why or why not?

      • What is the future of this school?

      • Are there similar schools in other parts of the world?

      • Could we have a school like this one in your town or in your country? Why or why not?

Assessment rubric — this is how I will calculate your marks:

Score Presentation (visual) Content Language Presentation (performance) Pronunciation
2 Very little or no text, relevant images Complete information, reasonably long Correctly adapted language for easy comprehension Well rehearsed, little hesitation, does not read from screen or notes Reasonable pronunciation, loud voice, speaks slowly
1 Little text, images are nice but not very informative Scarce information, very short Little adaptation or abundant errors Scarcely rehearsed, lots of pauses Mistakes in technical words, low voice, speaks a bit fast
0 Too much text Too little information, the presentation is too short Hard to undersand: too formal language, or too many mistakes Badly rehearsed, mostly reads from screen or notes A lot of mistakes in basic words, very low voice, speaks too fast
