| 2.- |
Analise the shape that you want to design. Decide where you want
straight lines or curves (or arcs).
| 3.- |
Think about the size and make a preliminary drawing in freehand.
| 4.- |
Think about the measures and decide if you need some auxiliary lines.
Draw first a vertical auxiliary line along the axis of the glass.
| 5.- |
Use horizontal lines to measure the width of the mouth and the base of the glass.
Use vertical (or oblique) lines parallel to the middle auxiliary line to draw the stem.
Use the compass to mark symmetrical points on both sides of the vertical axis to draw all the straight lines.

| 6.- |
Think about the circles that you need to draw the arcs. Decide what radius and position you need.
Draw the auxiliary lines, the circles and the straight lines, using thin lines.
| 7.- |
Decide where you need a circle tangent to a line, to another circle, to two lines...
| 8.- |
Use your classnotes about the appropriate tangency case to find the centre and the radius of the circles
that you need to draw each arc; you also need to find the necessary tangency points.
| 9.- |
Draw the outline of the glass in thick lines.
