To transform an affirmative sentence into a question, in Spanish we just change the intonation (or use question marks in the written language):
In English we use an auxiliary verb instead of the opening question mark (¿):
In the third person singular, we use DOES and the INFINITIVE form of the verb:
(the -s "moves" from the main verb to the auxiliary)

Present simple — wh- questions
Where	do	I you we they viruses	put eat copy buy come	these oranges? lunch? the list? their clothes? from?
When	does	he she it your car	get cook rain make	up? dinner? most? that noise?

For wh- questions, we begin the sentence with a wh- word, then we use an interrogative structure (Aux + S + V).
Be careful: if the wh- word is the subject, we use the same word order as in an affirmative sentence: S (wh-word) + V, and we add -s to the verb if the wh- word refers to a singular noun:

Who	lives	in this house?
How many dogs	work	as guide dogs in Spain?
